DescriptionCD sound recording ,transferred from reel-to-reel tape, of the reminiscences of Professor Thomas H.Pear (1886-1972) Manchester University in conversation with J.C.Kenna (BPS Honorary Archivist) 10th May 1957 at Myrtle Cottage, Woodchurch, Kent by Mr Martin Smith.

Professor Pear talks of his training as a psychologist and his contacts with A.F.Shand, Grafton Elliot-Smith, Samuel Alexander, Charles Myers, Chaim Weitzmann W.H.Kohler, James Lorraine Smith, Ward, William McDougall, Astely Cooper, Bernard Hart, David Katz, W.H.R.R.Rivers, William Mapothe, Millais Culpin, Cyril Burt, May Smith, Carl Flugel, Stanley Wyatt, Bartlett, E M Smith (Lady Bartlett), C G Seligmann, and many others.

A 25 page typed summary of the recording by T.H. Pear from May 1st 1959 and 2- handwritten drafts of the summary dated 13th May 1957 are available with the recording.

Also included are typed notes of a conversation with T.H.Pear at 23 Upper Wimpole Street, London, 17th April 1953 (possiible guide for the recording) and A Memoir of T H Pear by D C Boyle and related correspondence 1978
