DescriptionDraft annotated final report of the British Psychological Society BPS Working Party on Publicity (originally set up on 6 December 1969 as the Working Party on External Relations) which ran the press for the 1970 Annual Conference [See BPS/001/6/1/2/2/1] with the help of Christopher Hall) and also proposed the setting up of the Press Committee [BPS/001/11/01/04] and a policy and procedures for the Society to respond to relevant material in the Press and on television, and to cope with enquires from journalists.

AdminHistoryWorking party set up on 6 December 1969 'To examine the Society's policy in relation to the press and other media and to make recommendations to the Council concerning procedures for that these'. Members were Paul T Brown, N J Georgiades, J G Ingham, David M Nelson (convenor) and Professor Arthur Summerfield. Press releases for the 1969 Occupational Psychology Conference were seen as a dry run for the working party to organise press coverage for the 1970 Annual Conference.
