| AdminHistory | The Working Party upon Training Opportunities for Technicians in Departments of Psychology was established by the British Psychological Society Scientific Affairs Board with the brief to investigate and promote opportunities for technician training within Departments of Psychology. The Working Party comprises members of the Association of Psychology Technicians and academic psychologists for universities and polytechnics (C Colbourn, J Griffiths, S Gill, D Heeley, Keith Phillips, R Westley). In 1988 the Universities Manpower Review Group under the Chairmanship of Professor Fender (Chairman of the Universities Committee upon Non-Teaching Staff) published a report which made recommendations upon management goals for regional versus national pay, performance and productivity, staff training needs and provision, non-pay conditions and service, implications of universities commercial activities. |
