AdminHistoryMiss Grace Rawlings died on 12th August 1988 and left the Society a legacy with no specific instructions. It was proposed that this legacy was used to fund a visual library to obtain, collect and preserve items of a visual nature that pertain to British Psychology and Psychologists and to maintain records of their subjects for publication and research purposes. The BPS council appointed Dr Halla Beloff as the Society's first Honorary Visual Archivist at the meeting of 24th February 1990. The collection was kept at the Society's office in Leicester with day to day administration provided by Nicola Whitmore-Cooper.
