DescriptionCD sound recording of 1st of January 1966, transferred from reel-to-reel tape, of Dr. Frederick Justus Swinton Esher (1903-1997), Consultant Psychiatrist, Sheffield, District and Honorary Lecturer in Psychiatry, University of Sheffield, First Honorary Secretary and founder of the BPS Northern Branch (1933).

Dr. Esher speaks of Dr. J.C.Flugel, the early days of the BPS Northern Branch, applications of psychology during World War II and experiences with the introduction of certain forms of psychiatric treatment.

The magnetic tape is in very poor condition.
