Description | CD sound recording ,(edited version from 1965) transferred from reel-to-reel-tape, of Emeritus Professor Tom Hatherley Pear (1886-1972) in conversation with D.G.Boyle, Lecturer, Leeds University at T.H.Pear's home in Ashford, Kent.
Professor Pear talks of the early days of Psychology at Warzburg and in Britain, about notable figures particularly William McDougall, and of his own interest in speech and cultural differences.
Also available to accompany the recording is a typed memoir in two parts by D.G.Boyle (1978). This memoir was later published in The BPS Bulletin in three parts, ref: Bulletin of the British Psychological Society (1978 and 1979), Vol.31, 377-380, 409-411, November and December, 1978, Vol.32, 1-3, January 1979
