The Committee undertook a survey of training and appointments of 1949-1951 graduates [See Bulletin of the British Psychological Society 1956 No 28 pp 29-50 'British Psychologists 1949-1961 their Training and Placement'], launched a conference of department heads, coordinated with the Committee of Professional Psychologists on lobbying for an increase and standards for training and produced a 'Careers in Psychology' schools leaflet (1960, revised edition 1963, 'Psychology and Pyshcologists: A Pamphlet for Schools'1970), a survey of all first years students (1962), the role of the Society as an examining body; responses of employer s to the training of students in psychology; recognition and approval of new postgraduate courses and publication of 'Postgraduate Training Courses in Psychology'
