BPS Working Party on the Teaching of Psychology in Schools report [Bulletin of the BPS , 22, (1969), pp.103-108] in this report convened by George Westby noted that an A Level syllabus is in preparation by one Examining Board and the BPS Council made strong representation to the Schools Council about the need for qualified psychologists to assist in the preparation of syllabuses. A Level psychology was first introduced on a trial basis by the Associated Examining Board in 1970.
