11 November 2019 BPS calls for child wellbeing to be at the heart of politics - release promoting open letter to leaders of Britain's political parties. The letter, signed by the BPS and 59 other organisations, calls for parties to put children's wellbeing at the heart of policy development and spending decisions;

11 November 2019 Membership survey reveals psychology profession under pressure - release promoting the BPS 2019 Member Survey. Survey highlights the challenges facing the psychological workforce including overload, emotional exhaustion and poor work-life balance;

18 November 2019 BPS publishes its psychological manifesto for the general election - release promoting the BPS Psychological Manifesto. This document sets out the BPS' priorities for the next governement including a cross-government strategy on development and well-being for young children, a focus on prevention and action on inequality;

20 November 2019 Call for BPS members with expertise on poverty - release announcing the formation of a reference group to help drive forward the BPS 2020 policy campaign 'From poverty to flourishing'. 18 members with expertise in the area of poverty and its impact on health, education and local services sought;

22 November 2019 First aid in mental health - release promoting a Birmingham City University initiative to improve the state of mental health amongst students. The University has successfully trailled a peer support project that trains and supports mental health 'first-aiders';

29 November 2019 BPS joins call for needs of children to be put first - release promoting open letter to leaders of Britain's political parties. The letter, signed by the BPS and more than 140 other children's charities, education unions, professional associations and grassroots organisations, calls for commitments across three areas. Leaders asked to give indication of actions intended to help vulnerable children, to commit to investing resources into services for children and to re-balance spending to focus on the prevention rather than the consequences of children's poor mental health;

29 November 2019 BPS Research Digest round up - release promoting the BPS Research Digest Blog, a weekly round up of news items and analysis.
