DescriptionCorrespondence, reports and minutes of the British Psychological Society BPS Standing Committee on Communications project to market psychology particularly within the NHS by lobbying Ministers and civil servant through briefing papers and encouraging BPS subsystems [networks] to communicate events and iniitiatives to appropriate ministers.

A working group comprising Anne Colley, Graham Beaumont, Sue Gardner, Marie Johnston, Sue Llewelyn, Ed Miller and Ian McPherson met in Oxford in July 1989 with an aim to identify different areas and problems in the National Health Service where psychology could or should play a role. Further meetings were held between December 1989 and April 1990 where a next steps report was made to the BPS Standing Committee on Communications.
