AdminHistory | In April 1982 the Professional Affairs Board set up a working party (David Mulhall - convenor, John Barker, Clive Downs, Colin Elliott, Richard Macdonell, Nicholas McGeorge, Ken Miller) to a) note the categories by which psychological tests currently used I the UK are classified b) determine who apart from psychologists use tests and for what purpose c) formulate the skills needs for the proper administration and interpretation of these tests d) determine what knowledge is necessary as a basis for the acquisition of these skills e) consider how the relevant skills can be assessed f) provide guidance on how to use test results in assessing individuals so that the interests of those individuals are protected g) consider what guidance the Society can offer about the acquisition of appropriate skills h) provide the Society with specific advice on the technical feasibility of licensing non-psychological test users under a Psychologists Registration Act
