AdminHistoryThe White Paper 'Better Schools' 1985 set out the government's announcement of their intention to introduce a new specific grant to support Local Education Authority Expenditure on most aspect on in-service education and training (INSET). The proposed scheme was based upon 1984 recommendations from the Advisory Committee on the Supply and Education of Teachers. This resulted in The Education (No. 2) Act 1986.
