Description | Correspondence and response of the British Psychological Society to the DHSS consultation on the Data Protection Act Subject Access to Personal Health Data Order [aka Data Protection (subject Access Modification) (Health) Order] to modify the subject access provisions of the act in respect to personal health data - drawing on the advice of the BMA Interprofessional Working Group on Access to Personal Health Information. Includes correspondence with Edwina Currie, Under Secretary of State for Health and R M Oliver, Deputy Chief Medical Officer.
Includes also correspondence about Scottish Home and Health Department consultation on access to computerised medical information and Access to Personal Files Act 1987 Social Work Regulation.
Bernard Kat was the Society's representative on the Interprofessional Working Group. The British Psychological Society had a working party on data protection 1976-1986 and later on Access to Personal Health Information 1987-1990; Confidentiality and Access to Information 1991-1993. |
