AdminHistoryThe first iteration of this course December 1992 was run by tutors at City University, after that the Course was run by Elizabeth Mapstone and Marion Tysoe. The aim of the course was to help participants acquire good writing skills and to alert them of the principles of clear communication. to show participants how to transform standard academic prose into an accessible style who will hold the interest of psychologists not necessarily familiar with the topic area and help editors to recognise failings in contributors writing and to be able to offer suggestions for improvement; to help them brief contributors, edit and sub-edit.
