AdminHistoryAfter the re-organisation of the British Psychological Society's Library with the Psychology Library at Senate House, a working party was set up under Sheila M Chown, reporting (after four meetings) in December 1972. The working party recommended that
1. The Society should preserve the separate identiy of its library.
2. The Society should enter into an agreemtn with the University to 5 years notice of intended separation
3. An accessions policy should be formulated thourhg the Scientific Affairs Board and applied in confirmation with the University
4. A budget for the library should be adopted allowing for some expansion of holdings
5. Additional insurance cover for the library shoudl be arranged by the Society
6. Gaps in holdings within existing runs should be filled and money provided for this purpose by the Society
7. The excellant facilities available at the library should be given more publicity by the Society.
