DescriptionCorrespondence concerning the formation of the British Psychological Society Professional Affairs Board Working Party on Open Access to Client Records in 1987. Also includes information a symposium on Ethical Aspects of Aspects of Psychologists Records held during the British Psychologica Society 1987 Annual Conference.

This Working Party, convened by Bill Herbert was a successor body to the BPS Working Party on Data Protection (1979-1987) and it was set up with the aim to produce guidance to members on issues of privacy, confidentiality and clients records. The Open Access Working Party was succeeded by the Standing Committee on Confidentiality and Access to Information (1991-1993).
