AdminHistoryAfter a report on Data Protection by Sir Norman Lindrop in 1978 the British Psychological Society Professional Affairs Board (PAB) agreed in November 1979 to set up a Working Party on Data Protection to monitor initiatives which culminated in the 1984 Data Protection Act. This Working Party was succeeded by a Working Party on Open Access to Client Records (1987-1990) and then by the Standing Committee on Confidentiality and Access to Information (1991-1993).
