Description | Folders containing agendas, minutes, correspondence and consultations concerning the British Psychological Society's Working Party on Data Protection and successor groups looking at issues relating confidentiality and access to client and personal health records.
After a report on Data Protection by Sir Norman Lindrop in 1978 the Professional Affairs Board (PAB) agreed in November 1979 to set up a Working Party on Data Protection to monitor initiatives which culminated in the 1984 Data Protection Act. Convener, Mr Alastair Maclean. In 1983 the Working Party issued 'Guidelines for a Code of Practice on Data Protection'.
