Physical Descriptionfile
DescriptionMinutes (January - October 1980) and report of a British Psychological Society Professional Affairs Board working party comprising representatives of the Division of Clinical Psychology (Valerie Barden), Division of Criminology and Legal Psychology (Gloria Laycock) , Division of Educational and Child Psychology (Richard Williams), Scottish Division of Educational and Child Psychology (Harry Pont) and Bernard Stewart (Division of Occupational Psychology) which looked at whether there was a need for a new journal of 'professional psychology' to meet the cross Divisional needs and wider concerns and activities undertaken by the Professional Affairs Board.

The Working Party met with the Society's publishing manager and also one of the editors of the Bulletin of the British Psychological Society. They also publicised their Working Party in the Bulletin.

The report proposed a Professional Affairs Board supplement or eight pages of the Bulletin to be given over to Professional Affairs to include reports of PAB business and lengthier reports of working parties (reports, trainings, consultations), articles of professional interest such as case studies or discussions of professional methodology, book review and general discussion and information on cross Divisional matters and content of individual Divisional publications. The report went to the Professional Affairs Board and then onto the Finance and General Purposes Committee on 26 June 1981 which recommended no action on its recommendations.
