AdminHistoryThe British Psychological Society Conference Programme Committee started in the ?1960s refereeing papers for the Annual and London Conferences - after the restructure of the Society in 1973 it came under the auspices of the Scientific Affairs Board. Its Chairman [or Honorary Conference Secretary] was often co-opted onto Council. After 1978 - a separate annual report on their achievements and policies was included in the Annual Report. In 1982 it became the Standing Conference Committee tasked with not only refereeing submitted papers but planning and organising the conferences themselves. One of their initiatives were Conference Fellows.
