DescriptionPress Releases (drafts and final) concerning a selection of papers given at the British Psychological Society Annual Conferences held over 2-4 days each spring. Each conference comprised over 100 papers, posters, lectures and symposia and the BPS press office would choose c. 20 papers to have an individual press release and be promoted to the national, specialist or local press.

AdminHistoryIn 1970 the BPS Working Party on Public Relations as a trial ran a press office and issued press releases at British Psychological Society Annual Conferences. From the mid 1980s a special press office was set up during the BPS Annual (and London) Conference run by an administrative staff press team including from 1990 a press officer.
