DescriptionPrinted booklets of proceedings (mostly abstracts) of papers given at the British Psychological Society Annual London Conferences usually held over 2 days in December with over hundred papers being read. The London Conference started in 1957 and finished 2000. The 1973 conference was adveresly affected by the energy crisis with attendance dropping to 238 from 600 and the following year one day was a general papers the first day with section meetings on the second day. Due to financial pressures the London Conference was in abeyance until between 1975 and 1977 when a revived Conference Programme Committee [later Standing Conference Committee SCC] restarted up the two day general meeting.
