Description	Material relating to the British Psychological Society Annual London Conference includes programmes, proceedings, administrative material, photographs and press. BPS London Conference were held between 1957 and. 2000 with no conferences held in 1975 and 1976. Traditionally London Conferences were for more experimental psychologists. From 1965 Spearman medal awarded at this meeting and from 1991 Donald Broadbent lecture held. The last London Conference was held in 2000 when the event was replacde by a day meeting of public lectures known as the 'London Lectures'. AdminHistory	AFter discussion atht eh Council meeting of March 1957 it was announced in the Bulletin of the British Psychological Society in May that an experiment was going to be held of a two day Society meeting in London to be held in December.'the programme will include a number of invited speakers from fields of research in or related to psychology and will otherwise be devoted to reports of research in progress or recently completed.
