AdminHistoryThe British Psychological Society BPS Graduate Admissions Committee GAC was set up in December 1987 under the Chairmanship of Dr David Legge and later J G Beaumont. It was started at the same time as the Postgraduate Graduate Admissions Committee PAC)- under the Membership and Qualifications Board [MQB] as part of the new responsibilities in setting up a register of Chartered Psychologists. This suite of Committees took over some of the responsibilities of the Standing Committee on Membership SCM.

By 1993 the Graduate Admissions Committee (GAC) was restructured as the Graduate Qualification Accreditation Committee (GQAC).
