DescriptionFile contains 2- hardback minutes books concerning the British Psychological Society's (BPS) Northern Branch.

The first minutes book [ red cover] contains handwritten minutes of Northern Branch committee, business and scientific meetings including
AGM's from 30th January 1965 to 16th October 1976.

Topics covered include:
Business, Dr.McKellar's election as Chairman, circulation costs, size of the branch, symposia, splitting the branch, bank account, resignation of Dr.F.J.S.Esher (1966 to go to Canada) [founder of the branch], papers, unconfirmed typed minutes, speakers, newspaper cutting of Prof. Hans Eysenck's lecture, typed lists of attendees at residential courses held at Holly Royde College and programmes, expenditure form, registration of Psychologists, handwritten notes concerning a branch meeting on registration, Bradford 18th January 1975, Secretary-Treasurer's report and a list of officers.

The second minutes book [blue cover]contains handwritten and typed minutes of Northern Branch committee, business and scientific meetings including AGM's from 12th January 1977 to 26th November 1984.

Papers, one day PQTP meeting, psychological aspects of work course, balance sheet, Secretary- Treasurer's report [Joan Freeman], young psychologist competition, programmes of residential courses held at Holly Royde College, notices, residential meetings, branch reports, reports from committee members, committee member lists[ 1982], annual reports, careers forum, newsletter and media.
