AdminHistory | The Social Psychology Section (SPS) is part of the British Psychological Society. The inaugural meeting of the Social Psychology Section was held at the University of Birmingham on April 6 1940, Prof. Morris Ginsberg was elected chair and Dr. Wm. Stephenson secretary.
As a section of the British Psychological Society (BPS) it receives financial support from the society and it is represented on major BPS committees and at BPS conferences.
