AdminHistoryFormed in 1986 as the Health Psychology Section and then became the Special Group in Health Psychology in 1992 and then the Division of Health Psychology in 1997.

In general BPS Special Groups [part of BPS Subsystems] exist to represent groups of members working in a particular field.

The members of a Special Group all have some defining characteristic that are less rigorous than that required for a Division.
