DescriptionFile contains typed correspondence, circulars and other material of the BPS concerning possible new British Psychological Society (BPS) Regional Offices, subscription schemes, British Psychological Society (BPS) Scientific Affairs Board (SAB) appointments, section representation on SAB, business items for discussion, (including an 'Introduction to the concept of a 'Task Force'), development and co-ordination of the activities of the Sections.

Also included are 2-copies of APA newsletter Task Force on Environment and Behaviour December 1975 and February 1978, BPS Council proposals subscriptions 1978 and SAB printed terms of reference , regulations and membership.

Various SAB typed circulars 1974 to 1977, copy of the draft of a press statement for use by the Society when the Trethowan Report is published 1975, and a typed list of invitees to a Standing Press Committee, one day workshop on press relations and the organisation of a political lobby, 11 October 1975.

AdminHistoryA report was published in 1972 'The Reorganization of the Society' in March 1972 which led to the appointment In 1973 of a Secretary-General of the British Psychological Society and it was initially held by Dr R R Hetherington. The role of Executive Secretary held by F H Partridge, was concerned with the business, legal and financial aspects of the Society's work.
