AdminHistoryBritish Child Study Association founded 1893 a Federation of local Child Study Societies with branches in Edinburgh, London, Cheltenham and later in several other British cities, comprising mainly teachers and parents, amalgamated with the Childhood Society 1907. The Child Study Society was absorbed into the Education Section of the BPS January 1949
James Sully, one of the founding members of the British Psychological Society 1901, was an early influence in the Society.
