Description | Council Minutes book of the Child Study Society London from 03-05-1934 to 27-11-1946, pages 8 to 95 of a 243 page book. The first few pages are minutes of the C.S.A. extension committee 1912-1914.
The book is mostly handwritten in ink with printed material pasted in on various pages. Inside the front cover is an official document from the Home Office dated 04-07-1910 thanking the Society for their sympathy on the death of King Edward the Seventh, the signature on this document appears to be Winston S. Churchill.
Inside the front cover is a typed document called the Constitution of Child-Study Society.
Other details include: Printed Annual Reports, Annual Meetings, Balloting lists, Reports of the Council, Officers, Council members and Committees.
Also included are minutes and reports of the Lecture and Advisory Committees, Handwritten letter from J.P.H.Walton concerning subscriptions dated 19-10-1946, Typed document entitled 'Report of Council for 1938', Financial Statement, page.68, Typed Finance Committee reports, Draft typed Constitution 11-07-1939, Agenda and handwritten notes page 86. Printed notice 'Conference of Educational Associations and Golden Jubilee Lecture page.92, Handwritten Income and expenditure 1945 page. 93. Inside the back page two printed documents are tipped in; the first is 'Research on Errors in Reading' and the second is addressed to the Members of the Reconstruction Committee , May 1917 both documents are on C.S.A. headed paper. |
