Description | Minute book of The Committee on The Mental and Physical Condition of Children (Seventh International Congress of Hygiene and Demography) August 1891 to February 1896. c 100 pages mostly written in ink with a few pages of printed material tipped in at the front and back.
Contents include such details as:
Committee members handwritten and glued inside the front cover, Financial Record May 1892, Committee Members, Meetings, Letter from E.White Wallis December 1892, List of schools to be visited, drawn up by Dr Warner March 28 1893, Draft reports, Discussion paper for Members of the Congress with comments handwritten in French undated, Handwritten Minutes of The British Association for The Advancement of Science Committee 1892-1897 with printed material appointing Dr.F.Warner to serve on various investigative committees 1892-1894, Printed documents entitled 'On the Physical Deviations from the Normal among Children in Elementary and other Schools-Report of the Committee 1890-1894, Printed document entitled 'Mental and Physical Deviations of children-Report of the Committee, Ipswich 1985, Handwritten letter in pencil dated 03/06/91 to the B.M.A.
At the back of the book a handwritten and folded minutes page of the committee dated February 19th 1896 contains the following: Various pieces of correspondence, Expense report and a printed document entitled 'Objects of the Society', Printed notices concerning the Seventh International Congress of Hygiene and Demography, Handwritten correspondence from E.White Wallis, Secretary of the Committee on the Mental and Physical Condition of Children. |
