AdminHistory | In 1900 William George Smith became the first lecturer in experimental psychology in 1900. He was succeed in 1903 by C S Myers. Psychology was part of the Physiology Department. Three years later Myers was awarded a Chair and a separate Department of Psychology was founded. Myers moved to Cambridge in 1909.
In 1922 Francis Aveling (1875-1941) became a reader in psychology and then held the Chair between1932 and 1941. He was President of the British Psychological Society 1926-1929 |
