Description | Report titled 'The Preparation of Recruiting Centre Tests (1945).' (no. 204) by Philip E. Vernon. The report presents a number of tests which are to be used in Recruiting Centres, both for Continuous Service individuals, as well as new recruits. The tests include Abstraction Tests and Dictation and Spelling Tests. The report focuses on the item inventory, practical application and statistical results of each of the tests. Notably, the report outlines The Duke Experiment, conducted on HMS Duke, and a revised word list of commonly misspelled words. |
