DescriptionReport titled 'The Value of Electrical Tests and PSO's Judgements in the Selection of Electrical Ratings.' (no. 201) by Philip E. Vernon.
The report reviews the results of a number of tests applied to Radio and Electrical Mechanic Candidates and Wiremen. The tests included batteries such as Short Test of Electrical Knowledge, Radio Symbols Test and Electrical and Mechanical Information. Additionally, ratings of PSO's who have interviewed and allocated the candidates have been taken into consideration for review. The report concludes by suggesting that Mechanical tests yield better predictability in comparison to the other tests, whilst the PSO's abilities are fairly consistent across different test branches.
