Description | Report titled 'Statistical Analysis of Mechanicianand Leading Stoker Data.' (no. 180) by Philip E. Vernon. The report analyses test result differences between Leading Stokers and Mechanicians at various points in training. It is explained that Mechanicians are comprised of the top 8% best Leading Stokers. In detail comparison of the two groups is presented for various tests, such as mathematics and mechanical knowledge. Table of statistical results is presented, alongside a summary of the tests which appear to be most useful in the selection process for training. |
