DescriptionReport titled 'An Investigation Into the Structure of Mechanical Ability.' (no 179) by Philip E. Vernon.
The investigation sets out to establish a way of predicting mechanical ability through mechanical aptitude tests. The test sample is outlined, and statistical data is provided. The report emphasises that mechanical ability is too broad a topic to accurately predict. As such, it is best done so when the scope of the abilities is limited to a specific action. Hand written notes are included.
