DescriptionReport titled ‘The predictive Value of an Entry Establishment Recommend, or Training Mark, in Gunnery.’ (no. 148) by Philip E. Vernon.
The report reviews the gunnery training performance of men who have either received previous recommendations or not, taking into consideration their previous training marks. A correlational analysis reveals that having been recommended previously is more diagnostic of performance outcomes, whereas marks yielded very little predictability.
