DescriptionReport titled 'A Note on the Recent 'Bests' and 'Worsts' in H.M.S. Collingwood.' (no. 130) by Philip E. Vernon.
The report outlines the mark distributions for the best and worst performing classes in H.M.S. Collingwood, as well as H.M.S. Excalibur. The former were compared to best and worst grades on the T1 entry test, and correlation has been found. The latter group were more poorly differentiated, which is attributed to the instructors' lack of grading experience. The report notes on the stability of the best and worst results recorded over a period of one year.
