Description | Report titled 'Follow-up of Seamen Torpedomen and Motor Mechanics.' (no. 117) Philip E. Vernon. The report outlines three training location-based groups of Seamen Torpedomen, explaining the selection process for each. Their respective course results have been correlated with their results on various SP tests. It is identified that there are vast differences between the groups. These calculations were also conducted for two groups of Motor Mechanics, upon first standardising the score distributions between them. Although in this case the correlations are very low, this is described as being due to the highly specialised nature of the course. Pass-fail percentiles are included as tables for both Seamen Torpedomen and Motor Mechanics. |
