Weschler Intelligence Scale for Children Revised (WISC-R) test (British edition) assesses various facets of intelligence in children. Comprises 12 subtests divided into two major divisions yielding a verbal IQ and a full scale IQ for adolescents and adults tested individually.

Selected subtest requires verbal responses while others require that the subject demonstrates abilities through manipulating test materials.
The WISC-R is a revised form of the 1949 WISC.
