| Activity | The Mathematical and Statistical Psychology Section of the Britush Psychological Society was founded on the 11 December 1969 with its rules agreed by the BPS Council in May 1970. In 1984 it became the Mathematics, Statistics and Computing Section MSC with an aim to promote the advancement and diffusion of the use of mathematics, statistics and computing in psychology and to arrange conferences, meetings, lectures and discussions of special interest to psychologists working in the field. The Ranald Macdonald Postgraduate Research award is presented annually.
