| Activity | This special group of the British Psychological Society was formed in 1991 after a letter from Alastair Maclean (Chair IPP Interdepartmental Panel Psychologists) Working Party on a Special Group for Psychologists in Central Government was published in the The Psychologist May 1990 which asked Members to express support in a potential group to provide representation in the Society of the Professional Interests of Psychologists in the practice of psychologists in government and government agencoes, and to encourage contact between government psychologists. The IPP group had set up a feasibility group to see what the required support would be to create a group in January 1990 after they had received replies from the Psychologist totalling 64 Fellows and 132 Associates and Graduate Members they wrote to the British Psychological Society Council October 1990 announcing that they had met the legal minimum for a new group and proposing draft rules
First meeting 20 April 1991 - it was disbanded in 1998.
