| Activity | The NIIP was a Limited company Incorporated under the Companies Acts, 1908 to 1917 (the statutes) on the 11th day of February, 1921.
The Founder and first director of the NIIP (in 1921) was C.S.Myers (first President, British Psychological Society).
Mentioned in the Memorandum of Association for the NIIP is Object A (for which the Institute was established) :
"To promote and encourage the practical application of the sciences of psychology and physiology to commerce and industry by any means that may be found practicable"

The NIIP published a journal called 'The Journal of the National Institute of Industrial Psychology' (1921-1931), 'The Human Factor' (1932-1937) and 'Occupational Psychology' (1938- 1976).
