| Activity | An initial proposal for a special group was not successful with less than a 100 members expressing interest. A meeting, convened by Fraser Watts, was held on 19 July 1990 attended by Society members, Department of Health and members opf the British Neuropsychological Society to discuss 'Professional Issues in Clinical Neuropsychology' [see papers of Professional Affairs Board September 1990] cleared out 'misunderstandings' and also reported that an additional 80 names had been identified and that Tom McMillan would be submitting an additional proposal to Council.
The Special Group in Clinical Neuropsychology formed in 1991 (SGM of the BPS 23rd February 1991). First meeting of the Special Group in Neuropsychology, 7th June 1991. It started runing a post qualification course in 1994.
Special Group in Clinical Neuropsychology became the Division of Neuropsychology in 1999.
