Activity | The first meeting of the British Psychological Society Steering Committee of Psychologists Working with Children Group was on the 25th September 1984. A Special Interest Group (SIG) for Clinical Psychologists working with Children and Young People was set up in 1985 with an inaugural meeting 26th June 1985. The Group became affiliated to the BPS Division of Clinical Psychology the same year.
In 2021 it was decided that the Independent Practitioner Network (IPN) within CYPF will remain dormant (following the IPN committee stepping down). It was replaced by an independent practice representative on the faculty committee.
At the Inaugural General meeting held on 26th June 1985 (Oxford) the following officers were elected:
