Activity	Local Branch of the British Psychological Society members. A branch of this name was created in 1956 and ceased in 1979. The existing (2017) branch was founded in 2002 and officially came into being on 4th February 2003 when an open general meeting was held at York St John College to elect the committee and formally constitute their existence as part of the Society. In January 2020, the North East and North West branches jointly published the North of England Bulletin to replace the previous North East Branch Bulletin and North West Branch Update.
