1967 BPS Annual Report, 1967, Division of Clinical Psychology Report states, 'In addition to the branch formed last year in the South West Metropolitan Region, a branch has now been formed in the Liverpool Region during this year and its rules accepted by the committee. Other intending branches might like to use these commendably brief rules as a model for themselves...Other branches in the process of formation are in the South East Metropolitan, Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester and East Anglian regions.'
1969 BPS Annual Report, 1969, Division of Clinical Psychology Report notes 10 branches in England (including branches in Liverpool, Manchester) and 4 in Scotland. The Chair of the Liverpool branch as Dr R.R. Hetherington and Secretary J.B. Ashcroft and the Manchester branch secretary as J. Pinschof,.....'The branches appear to be particularly active to judge from the letters from their secretaries reaching the Honorary Secretary, with Liverpool heading the league. Manchester branch has been particularly enterprising in organising a one-day conference on Behaviour therapy in the '70s, with a special contribution from B.F. Skinner among a packed programme nationally advertised.'
