Activity	The first sub-system within the British Psychologist Society to cater for professional needs was the Committee of Professional Psychologists (1943) which later (1959) gave rise to the English and Scottish Divisions of Professional Psychologists (EDPP & SDPP). In 1966 the EDPP changed its name to the Division of Educational & Child Psychology (DECP). The DECP is the Division concerned with educational and child psychology. Membership is open to all psychologists qualified to work with children in a professional capacity, either as educational psychologists or clinical psychologists who work with children.
