DescriptionFile consists of 6- large envelopes containing handwritten and typed correspondence with various individuals, pamphlets, manuscript proofs and 1- scrapbook of press clippings collected by J.C.Kenna in his role as Honorary Archivist of the British Psychological Scoiety.

The envelopes are marked in ink on the front as follows:

Brown envelope-marked '12 letters from Sir Cyril L. Burt 1883-1971 and notes 26.5.63' containing; 9-handwritten letters and 1-postcard from Sir Cyril Burt , 7 pages of typed correspondence from Sir Cyril L.Burt and 7-pages from J.C. Kenna concerning a Chronology of British Psychology manuscript, 1953-1967 also included inside is a handwritten letter from Gilbert ? dated Oct.10, 1980 concerning his correspondence with Cyril Burt from 1976 onwards

1- brown envelope marked 'Burns-Burt correspondence' containing:
2-typed pages of correspondence with G.W.Herbert and 8-photocopies of correspondence between Sir Cyril Burt and Charles Burns, dated 1942-1943

Note: The Burt-Burns correspondence was presented by Dr.G.W.Herbert, Chief of Psychological Services, Birmingham (1975-1976)

Brown envelope-marked 'Burt on Baudouin on Jung' containing:
10- pieces of correspondence between Cyril Burt and Boris Semeonoff dated 1963-1964, 1- unsigned typed letter dated 23rd, Sept. 1964, 1- typed letter between P.C.Mott and Boris Semeonoff dated 8th Sept. 1964, 1- typed page entitled ' Baudouin on Jung by Cyril Burt and 1-typed critical proof entitled 'Baudouin on Jung and his Work by Cyril Burt'

Brown envelope-marked 'Roland Harper' containing:
2-page typed correspondence between, Dr.A.D.Lovie and Roland Harper dated Sept.22nd 1980, 4-copied document pages entitled 'Principles and Problems of Sensory Instrumental Correlation wirh Special Reference to Skin Sensation' by Roland Harper [1973], 1-typed letter from Roland Harper to J.C.Kenna enclosing a reprint entitled 'Flavour Characterization and its Development' dated 5.4.1979, 1-reprint entitled 'Sensation and Measurement', Holland, 1-monograph supplement from the British Journal of Psychology entitled 'Psychological and Psycho-physical Studies of Craftsmanship in Dairying by Roland Harper, CUP,1952, 1- N.I.R.D. Paper No. 1004 reprint from Nature, Vol. 162, Nov.1948 entitled 'Factorial Analysis of Rheological Measurements on Cheese'

Brown envelope-marked 'Letter from Peter Kleiner to J.C.Kenna enclosing a typed transcription of an aural taped speech given by Cyril Burt at a Mensa Dinner, Nov.1971 dated 4th June, 1973, 3-copied typed documents of an' In Memorium'address given by Prof.L.S.Hearnshaw Oct.21st, 1971

Yellow envelope-marked 'Luria' containing:
various handwritten and typed correspondence, proofs, a reprint and other material associated with a paper by A.R.Luria and Olga S. Vonogradova entitled 'An Objective Investigation of the Dynamics of Semantic Systems'and 1- brown envelope containing a letter from Prof. A.R.Luria and M.R.C. Maudsley Hospital, 1959-1961
