Professor Hunter had been on the committee of the section since its beginning.

First print (below) shows Ian Hunter (first from the left) at a lecture given by William Trethowan to innaugurate the Psychiatry Section of the North Staffordshire Medical Institute 12 May 1966.

Second print shows Ian Hunter at a dinner given in his honour by the Psychiatry Section of the North Staffordshire Medical Institute at Potters Association House 9 August 1983
[also shown Dorren Hutchinson and Ted Myers]

Third print shows Ian Hunter at a dinner to mark the 21st anniversary of the Psychiatry Section of the North Staffordshire Medical Institute 2 October 1987.
